When you hear the name Dubai the first word that comes across our mind is “Glamorous”. Yes! that’s right Glamorous would be the exact word how I would describe Dubai. Luxury and flair define this exotic and wealthy city, but there is also a cultural and adventurous side. Dubai offers all the elements I look for in a vacation, having grown from the dunes of the Arabian Desert to become one of the world’s most advanced and vibrant cities. Dubai is a part of the United Arab Emirates which consists of seven other emirates and Dubai being one of them.

TIP: You need minimum 10 days to have lavish and adventurous trip to Dubai

So, Let me take you on a step by step guide how you can spend your perfect getaway in Dubai.

So, the main Question that arises, when is the right time to travel to Dubai, as we know Dubai is known for its boiling temperatures. Summers are brutally hot, muggy, windy, and dry. Summertime highs are generally around 48 degrees Celsius every day, while midnight lows are 30 degrees Celsius. Generally speaking, it is sunny. In the winter, the average high is 24 degrees Celsius, and the average low is 12 degrees Celsius. In contrast, the climate is chilly, even cold. Despite this, Dubai’s winter only lasts a short while. In Dubai, January is the coldest month while August is the hottest.

As a resident that has stayed there for 10 years my personal recommended time would be around November to April. The perfect time to visit Dubai is during the winter. This time of year is ideal for sightseeing, taking sailing trips, or having fun at amusement parks because of the pleasant weather, cold air, and clear skies

How to make it to Dubai?

Dubai is one of the busiest air transportation hubs in the world. Depending on where you will be departing from, you can choose to fly with airlines like Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Singapore, and British. Dubai International Airport consists of three different passenger terminals. The shuttle service connects each terminal, and it takes visitors at least 20 minutes to get between them.

Via Bus

To save money on transportation, many tourists opt to take buses. Each route has a different price, which works out at about USD 1.5 per passenger. These bus routes are highly convenient for travelers as they connect all the notable monuments and tourist attractions in the city.

Via Metro

One of Dubai’s most popular and effective forms of public transportation is this one. Two lines give it the distinction of having the world’s longest fully automated subway system currently in use (Red and Green). Depending on the route and seat class you select, a train trip can cost anywhere from $0.50 to $1.75.

Via Taxi

The most common mode of transportation in Dubai is the taxi, which is why you can see thousands of them parked on the streets waiting to pick up passengers wherever they may be. In Dubai, taxis are quite unique and are broken down into a variety of categories, including Taxi Vip, Female Taxi (female driver, exclusively female passenger), Airport Taxi, and Regular Taxi.

Dubai may be a small city, but there are tons of place and activities that you can involve yourself in, there are few amazing places I would cover in this edition of the blog.

Starting with the old part of Dubai

Dubai Museum

This spectacular Dubai Museum, housed in Fort Al Fahidi, is the city’s oldest structure and dates back to 1787. This magnificent edifice, which was renovated in 1995 after being repaired by Dubai’s ruler in 1971, serves as the setting for the city’s history and several significant events. Nevertheless, the museum’s primary goal is to present the traditional way of life in the Dubai emirate. You’ll travel through several replicas of old Arab nomadic life, pearl farming, fishing, and metalworking.

Bastakiya Old Town

Al Fahidi Bastakiya’s historic neighbourhood is like a mystical maze, with antique buildings, art galleries, cafes, and hotels built in the style of bygone eras on both sides of the roadways. Arriving here makes you feel as though you have been transported back in time to the world of ancient Arabian traders. In the centre of a contemporary metropolis is an old Dubai.

Now lets move onto the new part of Dubai

Burj Khalifa

Currently the highest structure in the world, Burj Khalifa has 163 storeys and a height of 828 metres (830 metres at the tip). including several of the city’s top restaurants, two observation decks, a fountain designed in the style of Las Vegas, and nine luxury hotels. When travelling to Dubai or perhaps the entire UAE, this piece of modern architecture must be the top destination.

Ain Dubai

The Ain Dubai Ferris Wheel is the highest in the world and was designed after the well-known London Eye! Ain Dubai is nearly twice as tall as the 135-meter London Eye on the banks of the Thames and stands 82 metres higher than the High Roller, the current largest ferris wheel in the world, which is located in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Additionally, the Ain Dubai cabins may be altered to accommodate gatherings for businesses to network with potential partners as well as celebrations for birthdays, engagements, marriages, etc.

Palm Islands (Palm Jumeirah Artificial Islands)

The Palm Islands group is now the world’s largest endeavor to create artificial islands and is regarded as one of humankind’s greatest achievements. The opulence of these man-made islands is created by the more than 100 luxury hotels, as well as the high-end villas, marinas, restaurants, premium shops, water parks, and luxury spa facilities.

Time for some Adventure

Now who loves some adventure because I love exploring something that rushes my heartbeat against the adrenaline rush.

Wild Wadi Waterpark

You might not be aware that the Juha legend, who roamed the world with Sinbad the Sailor, served as the inspiration for Wild Wadi Waterpark’s theme. You may experience more than 25 different types of slides, free fall 33 metres down the Jumeirah Sceirah vertical slide, or simulate actual surfing at Wipeout and Riptide Rides and Breaker’s Bay, the largest wave pool in the Middle East. A lazy river, a botanical park with more than 40,000 types of trees, plants, and a selection of other leisure activities are also there.

IMG Worlds of Adventure

The IMG Worlds of Adventure, the world’s largest indoor theme park, is another accomplishment of the Emirate of Dubai. You will undoubtedly feel overwhelmed when you arrive due to the extremely large area—up to 1.5 million square meters—and the about $1 billion in building expenditures. Marvel, IMG Avenue, Lost Valley, and Cartoon Network are the four sections of this park. Additionally, the games—including roller coasters, speed rides, and 4D movies—are quite alluring.

Ski Dubai

Ever thought what happens when it gets too hot in Dubai, people go skiing. Yes, that’s right! Skiing in the Arabian dessert.

Dubai constructed a breathtaking indoor artificial snow park because it doesn’t have any snow, only scorching deserts. Here, you can fully engage in the thrilling activity of skiing, which is highly contemporary and cosy like the outside ski slopes. Major concerts and events are additionally held at Ski Dubai. Get a cup of hot chocolate at Avanlance Cafe if you’re feeling chilly.

What and where to eat?

Apart from all the adventure and glamourous lifestyle how can one not forget food. This Arab emirate combines specialties from around the world with the most opulent restaurants. Here are some typical foods that you should not miss if you visit Dubai.

Made in Palestine from shredded filo pastry or fine semolina dough, soaked in sweet, sugar-based syrup, and frequently covered with sour cheese. This delicacy has become a popular among UAE residents. This pastry should be eaten as soon as it is cooked to preserve its exquisite flavour.

This is a well-known local restaurant in Dubai, and it continues to draw a large number of diners every day. The restaurant specializes on Iranian cuisine and is most known for its incredibly tasty kebab.
